Marie-Claire is a CELTA qualified EFL teacher with a love of languages. She has a BA (Hons) in French Studies from the University of Nottingham and is currently learning Italian.
Marie-Claire has considerable experience in the Higher Education sector, having worked at the University of Surrey in Guildford for 12 years. In her role within Strategic Planning, she helped to run the university’s annual strategic and financial planning process. Her role also included project management, strategy development (academic and corporate), risk management and data analysis. Marie-Claire is passionate about music, playing both the piano and the guitar. She has 5 years’ experience in teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities.
Marie-Claire has experience teaching English both in the classroom and online. She is enthusiastic about online learning and seeks to create a warm and friendly environment in the virtual classroom. She enjoys the creativity that teaching English allows, including the use of different technologies wherever possible, and the enthusiasm of her students to learn.
