24 Hours in Oslo - By Mario

Last weekend, I went to Oslo. Our flight left at 9:00 a.m. I arrived on time but I took an Uber because I had slept in. The cost was around one hundred pounds. My friends wanted to kill me. We though that the weather would be worse than London but finally it was good.

OperaThe first thing that we did was find the hotel. We were in a hurry because the free tour, which we had booked online, started at 1:30 p.m. We had arrived in Oslo around 13:00 p.m. The free tour was really interesting because the speaker explained to us the history and the most important monuments of the city. If I were you, I would always do free tours before any other activity.

We visited the Opera, which looked like an iceberg. The people were walking on the Opera´s roof and I thought that they were penguins. There was so funny. Then we visited the prison camp.

Viking Museum

The second day we caught the ferry and we went to the island south of Oslo. We sailed a tiny bit around the fiord by ferry. Then we went to the most famous museum. There was the Vikings museum, which had a three really big Viking boats and other things like the first snow sledge that the humans ever used. In my opinion, this was the best place.

We took a lot of pictures of the different places, so many that my cell was blocked! We decided to go to the airport around 9:30p.m. We thought that was enough time. We spent a lot of money because the food was so expensive. For example, a normal sandwich cost approximately 60 crowns, in around 6 pounds. Oslo was an expensive city. These 30 hours in Oslo were so stressful because we wanted to do a lot of things but we didn’t have time. Finally that was a great trip and I think that I must go again.
